Yes it is indeed good for testing software and programming -- that's what I used to use it for also.  However for drawing and making extensive use of photoshop and other such applications, I find that it is not the best solution for me.  Also I find it's dual monitor support kind of clumsy.</description>

Virtualization is the best solution for programmers (like myself), web-designers, app-testers and so forth, it makes you work simultaneously with two or more OS on the same system. e.g. with VirtualBox I have over 14 different browsers at my disposal.
